Commercial establishments in the province of Matanzas have payment facilities available through electronic channels, although the rule shows some exceptions due to the dissatisfaction of the population.

The use of Transfermóvil and EnZona as electronic payment platforms is advancing both in the state sector and in non-state forms of management, however, cases of omission of the use of the QR Code in various points of sale persist.

The measure, mandatory since last February, is not complied with by some non-state workers in Matanzas who show disinterest in guaranteeing that right to clients, violating the law.

Electronic payments eliminate distortions in the economy, alleviate banking infrastructure and speed up transactions, which is why their operation is subject to control by the province's highest authorities.
