There are several examples of solidarity that are recorded in the municipalities of Guantánamo affected by Hurricane Oscar, where humanitarian aid arrives from all sectors and from several provinces after the meteorological event passed.

In that sense, commerce and gastronomy units of the provincial capital, such as El Guararey, La Cienfueguera, Cuartel and El Cuatro, support food, for example, in San Antonio del Sur, with food prepared at reasonable prices.

Likewise, members of the Hermanos Saíz Association and the Culture sector are in that coastal town to join the recovery efforts and bring art to the affected communities.

Workers from the Antonia Luisa Cabal Professional Music School, among other work centers, also came to San Antonio del Sur to cooperate with the cleaning of the institutions.

Municipalities recover their vitality.

It is comforting to observe how the municipalities of Guantánamo affected by Hurricane Oscar are gradually recovering their vitality, thanks to their own efforts, solidarity aid, and a decisive political and governmental will that supports everyone.

In these territories, telephone and electrical services are gradually reestablished, communities are sanitized, supplies arrive, and art is present to heal the soul.

Although those who lived it will never forget the night of Oscar's impact on Cuban territory, today the panorama is one of solidarity, understanding and accompaniment.

Donations arrive there, road infrastructure is recovered, procedures are streamlined and answers are given to those who raise their concerns, with the firm conviction that the political and social system of their country has human beings at the center of its priorities.
